Free 3D Scans from our Coalescence project
For Coalescence we created the point clouds by using photogrammetry. This is the process of taking a lot of photographs from all angles of a subject matter and then running those photographs through software to re-create a 3D interpretation of the model. We then animated these in TouchDesigner, if you want to learn more about that process you can watch the talk on Tokyo Developers Study Weekend Vol. 3 (Patreon subscription required)
The scans are in the PTS format which can be opened in CloudCompare, Meshlab or TouchDesigner.
So here are some of the scans below. We are releasing these under the WTFPL license so go wild.
